The National Museum of the Orangerie is located on the right side of the Tuileries Garden, facing the Place de la Concorde along the Seine. This museum is world-renowned for its collection of modern paintings, particularly Impressionist works and Monet’s monumental late-career “Water Lilies” series. Surrealist painter Masson declared the Orangerie the “Sistine Chapel of abstract art,” making it a must-visit sanctuary for lovers of Impressionist painting. After years of closure for comprehensive renovation due to outdated exhibition spaces, the museum finally reopened in mid-May this year, welcoming art pilgrims from around the world with its new spaces.
