On July 3 at 8:30 a.m., we gathered and went early to the mobile market next to the hotel to buy fruit and bread, preparing for an afternoon group picnic in Luxembourg Park. Visiting this unique scene of Parisian life is unforgettable. At 9:30 a.m., we took bus number 27 to the Jardin du Luxembourg, a large courtyard favored by Parisians for strolls. We visited this poetic French garden and had a picnic on the grass.
In the afternoon, we walked down Boulevard Saint-Michel, passing the Sorbonne University, the Musée de Cluny (Medieval Museum), and Place Saint-Michel through the Greek restaurant district. We stopped by the Seine for coffee, savoring the cultural atmosphere of the Left Bank’s cafés. We visited Notre-Dame de Paris, the most representative Gothic church, captivated by its mesmerizing stained glass and exquisite carvings.
Then we walked along the Seine to the Louvre Museum, the world’s largest museum (today being the first Sunday of the month when the French government offers free admission). The Mona Lisa will smile at you; may the Winged Victory spread her wings to welcome you warmly; Michelangelo’s Venus will soothe everyone with her charming figure. Other masterpieces will unveil their mysteries. The Louvre tour allows you to experience the magic and profundity of art and the brilliance of human civilization, cleansing the souls of art pilgrims.
